In the overwhelming world of images and iconography, graphic designer Shagari Guity has a captivating and memorable visual language that is all his own. The Haitian-Honduran creative force or (Guity, who is of Haitian-Honduran descent) has merged the vivaciousness of the Caribbean with the sleek refinement of contemporary urban culture in design that is simply beautiful and wonderfully international.
Guity is a graduate of Parsons, The New School for Design (formerly Parsons School of Design), where even as a student, his ability to effectively communicate culture and concepts to diverse audiences distinguished his work from that of his peers. A short list of businesses and institutions where Shagari has developed projects include VIBE Magazine, Spin Magazine, Alternative Design by Courtney Sloane, and the Studio Museum in Harlem.
